Privacy Policy

kpoparea has no accounts and never asks you to enter your name, phone number, address or any other directly identifying information. The data that is recorded automatically as you browse is limited to the following.

(a) A language cookie (kpa_locale) that remembers which language edition you chose. It holds no identifying value. (b) Server logs containing your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring page and the time of your request, kept by our servers and our hosting provider. (c) Third-party cookies used for advertising and analytics, described separately in sections 2 and 3.

kpoparea carries third-party advertising through Google AdSense to cover the cost of running the site.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other sites. Google’s use of advertising cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on that activity.

You may opt out of personalised advertising at any time in Google Ad Settings at https://myadcenter.google.com/controls. To opt out of many third-party vendors at once, visit https://www.aboutads.info/choices. You can also block cookies in your browser settings, though doing so may prevent parts of the site — such as remembering your language — from working correctly.

We may use analytics tools such as Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. These tools rely on cookies to collect aggregate statistics: which pages are read, how long visits last, and where traffic comes from. The results are used only in aggregate and are not used to identify individual readers.

If you would rather not be included, Google offers a browser opt-out add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

We use this information only to: (a) run the basic functions of the site, such as showing pages in the language you selected; (b) keep the service stable and secure, including diagnosing errors and abusive traffic; (c) produce aggregate statistics about which content is read; and (d) serve advertising and measure how it performs.

We do not sell or share this information with third parties for their own purposes without your consent, except where we are legally required to disclose it.

Server logs are kept for a maximum of twelve months for security and statistical purposes and are then deleted. The language cookie stays in your browser for one year from the time it is set, and disappears immediately if you clear your cookies. Third-party advertising and analytics cookies are retained according to the policies of the vendors that set them.

You can refuse or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings, and you can opt out of personalised advertising and analytics separately using the links in sections 2 and 3.

Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct or delete information relating to you, or to object to its processing. Write to contact@kpoparea.com and we will respond promptly, to the extent we can verify the request.

kpoparea is not directed at children under 14 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If we learn that we have, we delete it immediately.

If this policy changes, we will post the revised text and its effective date on this page, and announce material changes at least seven days in advance.
